On August 30, 2023, eight singer-songwriters traveled from Nashville, TN to O'Fallon, MO to spend two days meeting with Veterans & First Responders at The St. Charles County Veterans Museum. Their mission? To turn their true life stories into songs. On September 2, 2023 they performed those songs live at the O'Fallon Elk Lodge at what would become the inaugural Songs For Heroes concert. The event left such a lasting impact on the participants, attendees, volunteers, and community that we decided to turn SFH into a nonprofit.

SONGS FOR HEROES 2023 RECAP:
PRESS
"Sometimes when you can talk with someone who has been where you've been, it can be some much-needed comfort and healing. Eason is a singer and songwriter, who tells me came out of his eight years in the U.S. Air Force with post-traumatic stress disorder."

TESTIMONIAL
"It was a little difficult getting up there and facing my demons again but getting the word out there about what Songs For Heroes is doing for these men and women is very important. Can't thank John Eason and Zach and all the other musicians enough for what they do. Got a lot off my chest and I don't have to hate myself anymore."
- Veteran Fred Hudgens at Songs For Heroes Mini Session (April 2024) about his experience as a participant in the inaugural SFH 2023 session
OUR COMMITMENT BEYOND THE SHOW
Our commitment to the heroes we serve during Songs For Heroes doesn't end after the final song is performed on the final day

Film high-quality video footage of all songs
Release & Ongoing promotion of all songs (with hero permission)
Register our heroes with a PRO (performance rights organization) as equal co-writers to receive any due royalties
Connect our heroes with other resources for themselves and their loved ones, as needed
